Excuses Quilt And How To Beat

Have you ever wanted to learn to quilt, but they must speak out for themselves? Have you looked with nostalgia pictures of quilts in museums and magazines? Maybe you've even bought a book of quilting, but you can do yourself to do this next step.

Well, here are five excuses I hear from people because they can not learn to quilt and how to overcome them.

1. I do not know how to sew

Oh, this is easy. You just need to follow the instructions of the sewing machine by hand. So they taught me to sew. I really do not need to be able to be all that good, either. If you choose the right model, you can complete coverage without knowing how to sew a perfect straight line. Also, put the word you're interested in learning how to sew, and I'm sure you can find someone to teach a lesson fast.

2. I can not stand The Pieces Itty Bitty

Itty Bitty day surgery units, with the temples are over.

With current techniques padded tape, you can actually finish a quilt without pain. You just need the right tools and a cutter, self-healing rotary mat and ruler.

3. I have no sense of color

I am not well. The great thing about quilting as a hobby, it's easy to make, once you have stopped. If you do not trust you, very much a model that requires only two colors - use white as the color and choose their favorite color than the other. One of the reasons why you might pay a little more to the structure of experience. Employees will help you coordinate fabrics. For the first quilt I finished, I brought my quilt pattern book. The girls at my local quilt shop has helped me to choose fabrics. And it was a log cabin that used seven different tissues.

If you have a quilt shop, head online. There are fabric stores online that sell fat quarters of coordination. You do not have to do more than point, click and pay.

If you have a local quilt shop to visit them. A two-color quilts are awesome.

4. Quilting Is Hard

Quilting is just as hard as you do. You can purchase coverage for using a panel of sewing and make "sandwich deck." From there you can make a large quilt using only twelve hours squares inches. So, once you get comfortable, you can study more texture. Take it slow, to yourself a lot of time and be a beginner. So what if it is not perfect? Coverage for beginners is, uh, would seem to be the work of beginners. The only way to get better is to keep the quilting.

5. Do not have time for

Really needed only ten minutes a day. Now, probably frustrated because it takes a long time to stop the coverage. Twenty minutes for quilting is a good amount of time. Outside the kitchen timer, or use the oven timer, and play. And 'fat quarters and fabric shops are.

Once you go to your machine, however, you may not want to stop.

So you see there really is no excuse for not sting, but you are not interested. But if you are, enter a forum, read a book. Quilters are some of the most beautiful in the world. So get busy and get quilting!
